Odyssey Comics Submissions Policy
Weโre always looking for bold, original work, and the creators behind it.
Odyssey operates as a creative studio, not a content mill. Weโre selective by design. If youโre submitting, come correct.
HOW TO SUBMIT
We accept two types of submissions:
1. Developed Pitches
Have a project ready to go? Send us:
- A clear plot outline
- A cover letter introducing the project and creative team
- At least 3 pages of finished sequential artwork
Weโre looking for strong storytelling, distinct voice, and visual execution that already understands the medium.
2. Creator / Team Portfolios
If you donโt have a fully developed project, we still want to see your work.
Send:
- A portfolio of your best work
- Any relevant experience or past projects
- A note on what youโre looking to build
We regularly collaborate with artists, writers, and full teams to develop new titles from the ground up.
WHAT WEโRE LOOKING FOR
- Creator-driven work with a clear point of view
- Strong visual identity and storytelling instincts
- Projects that feel intentional, not derivative
If it feels safe, weโll pass.
WHAT WE DONโT ACCEPT
We do not accept:
- Submissions using generative AI artwork in any capacity
- Incomplete pitches without visual samples
- Mass-submitted or unfocused concepts
MISCELLANEOUS
Completed or Partially-Completed Works
Odyssey will consider proposals for stories with completed or partially completed pencils/inks, coloring, and lettering. In the case of incomplete works, an additional outline for the remaining story must be submitted. Any pages or artwork must be submitted in JPEG or PDF format. All creatorโs involved with the continuing work should be included as contacts so we can get the ball rolling together. If there is a change to the creative team, please clearly communicate this as weโll require new art or writing samples to be submitted for approval.
Odyssey Comics will not consider works still under contract with another publisher.
International Submissions
Odyssey accepts submissions from all over the globe, but weโre currently only publishing physical works in English. All submissions from international creators for print projects should be in English and formatted (i.e. reading left to right) for English-speaking audiences. Digital releases will be available for global markets, so feel free to submit in your native format, however, an English translated version must also be submitted. All international submissions are subject to the same guidelines stated on this page.
Contact Information
Your full name, phone number, and email address must be included with your submission. The names of all creators and their related duties should also be included. Social media handles and links will not be considered as a means of contact but feel free to include them if you have pictures of your cute cat on there.
